This is one cool Butchers Block!
It was discovered on a farm in Somerset where it was being used as a makeshift small bench (hence the paint splats) but of course its original use was obviously a butchers block.
Its a very special (heavy) thing, a one piece block that slots into a x-framed stand. The block itself have a lovely warm feel, it does have an age related split but the block has been coopered and it will for ever remain stable.
The stand is of bolted construction and again very heavy!
It retains its original hook and we have added the clever to demonstrate its use (the clever is not included in the sale unless you want it after negotiation)
A magnificent object - use it or look at it, up to you!
