A magnificent 19th Century example of a rectangular cushion wall mirror.
A truly impressive thing, the gilded gesso frame is intact and so wonderfully decorative and the original mercury bevelled plates are so delightfully foxed (almost to the point it doesn't reflect!)
An interior stylers dream!
The overall condition is good, there are a few cracks in the gesso (as normal) and its a really stable mirror, as demonstrated by us “hanging it”
To keep or not to keep - that is the question? for now though, its for sale!
