Jean Luc Jerome Parisian Street Artists Easel 1957

Jean Luc Jerome Parisian Street Artists Easel 1957
French street artists Easel dated 1957.
Is it the real thing or an extraordinary art installation all of its own?
If its the later then it almost certainly by Jean Luc Jerome.
It’s simply an incredible thing, with all working mechanical components still working. There is a cog and handle system for wing the piece of art up or down for height adjustment and a draw string system for the opening of the paint hoppers lid.
It’s also accompanied by its original yellow paint splattered seat.
The original lights are present, one at the top and one to the side which covers the brushes, opening doors the base to expose a host of paint cans and its easily movable on its wheels.
Overall, a very striking, crazy piece art? of was it trundled around the streets of Paris in the 50’s - you decide?
(Paint splattered seat included)
Dimensions: 88” (224cm) Tall x 36” (92cm) wide x 19” (49cm) deep
