Large and Impressive Ming Dynasty Cizhou storage jar
Cizhou ware or Tz'u-chou ware is typically recognised as being produced during the Chinese Ming Dynasty 1368-1644 and later into the early 18th Century.
The Jars were used to store and preserve foods and liquids, above ground.
This impressive jar are in great order, with its deep cream base glaze decorated with brown slip and hand painted decoration and no cracks.
Dimensions: 25” (64cm) tall x 16” (41cm) diameter.
