Early 19th Century Welsh Corner Windsor Chair

Early 19th Century Welsh Corner Windsor Chair
Rare and early 19th Century country corner chair.
A wonderfully impressive of an early Welsh corner chair and rare thing indeed..
Bits of all sorts have gone into the making of this chair (which wasn’t unusual) oak, elm, a little ash and some fruitwood all go into the making of this splendid and generous beast!
Originally painted in that glorious deep red oxide which still remains extensively, although now beautifully worn
It’s as much a pleasure to look at as sit in…torn whether to sell it or not?
Age related repairs and a later seat pad but have you seen the old steel strap work repairs? - wonderful!
Sits sturdy and is in great order
Dimensions: 44” (112cm) to the top of the back rail x 29” (74cm) wide
