Fabulous, early “dog kennel” desk.

West Country, early 19th Century and almost certainly estate made.

Found in a stable block of a large country residence in the Cotswolds this estate made desk if just oozing with “make do and mend” charm

Constructed predominately in pine but with a lovely English oak top, years and years of use has created the perfect patina and the thing has some lovely original repair work, using basically anything they could!

One large drawer to the top flanked by three smaller drawers at each side. The bottom drawer actually flaps open (see image)

A simply wonderful piece of Country House history - grab it quick before we change our mind!
