A striking pair of antique Chinese hard stone bonsai trees, each meticulously crafted from hardsstone with cloisonné enamel jardiniere detailing. These decorative trees represent the prunus (plum) blossom, a classic symbol of resilience and renewal in East Asian art. Both trees are in very good antique condition with expected minor surface wear consistent with age; stable enamel and intact gilt details, no significant restoration.
Each tree is set into delightful cloisonné jardinieres, the trunk rising naturally and branching into multiple limbs with vibrant plum blossoms.
The foliage and petals are crafted from semi-precious hardstones including jade, agate, amethyst, and soapstone and the soil again is crushed hard stone.
